Sequences and cycles of depositional records, paleotectonic-paleogeographic-paleoclimatic origins of basin-fills, basin-range interaction and sedimentary geodynamics. Focus on the Mesozoic-Cenozoic sedimentary basins in China and adjacent area.
· Sedimentary diagenesis and its spatio-temporal structures
 
Focus on spatio-temporal distribution research of clastic/carbonate diagenesis based on sedimentary sequence (rock-mineral-chemical system configuration), burial evolusion, structural strain pattern and fluid flow frameworks
· Tectonic evolution of the HP-UHP orogenic belt
 

Tectonic evolution of the HP-UHP orogenic belt of central China; Extensional structures related post-collision and regional tectonics and it geodynamics, eastern China; Orogenic belt and related basins; Intra-continental orogenic belt and its geodynamics
