It is a major problem of reservoir geophysics that how to properly simulate the seismic wave response of strong inhomogeneous reservoir, just as fractured reservoir, to image and inverse fractured reservoir in response to equivalent anisotropy, equivalent Q and slow wave effect.

This subject group mainly using the multi-scale method (short-range accurately and long-range equivalent method) and GPU massive parallel computation to research hydrocarbon reservoir geophysical problems. Using exponential map and quasi differential operator method for integral differential equation to get all sorts of equivalent response; using the frequency domain and spatial domain finite-difference to simulate shot-range wave equation from.
