Continental Margin Evolution and Fluid-involving Mineralization Processes
Hydrothermal alteration associated with Mesozoic granite-hosted gold mineralization at the Sanshandao deposit, Jiaodong Gold Province, China

Master student LI Xiaochun and his teacher FAN Hongrui provide a comprehensive description of the alteration assemblages and veins of the Sanshandao gold deposit, documenting their paragenesis, spatial zonation, petrography, geochemistry and Sr–Nd isotopes of hydrothermal minerals.

Based on the data, they (1) illustrate mobility of elements associated with the hydrothermal alteration; (2) more tightly constrain the physicochemical conditions of the ore fluid system and (3) better define the sources of hydrothermal fluids.
