Ph. D. Student LIU Xuan Wins Student Research Grant Awards of SEGF
The Society of Economic Geologists Foundation (SEGF) and the SEG Canada Foundation (SEGCF) are pleased to announce the Student Research Grant awards for 2012. Ph. D. student LIU Xuan, whose teacher is Professor FAN Hongrui, wins US$3,250 of Hugh E. Mckinstry Student Resarch Award. The award is granted to students whose projects involve studies of mines or ore districts; topical studies toward improved understanding of ore genesis; and experimental research in field applications. LIU Xuan’s funded project is Formation and preservation of the mid-Jurassic porphyry copper systems in Dexing, SE China: insights from geo-/thermo-chronological studies . |
