The laboratory is devoted to the study of the metallogenic geodynamic settings of the northern part of the Chinese continent (craton and orogenic belt) and its adjacent areas. The laboratory studies detailed ore-forming processes and mechanism, prediction theory for hidden ore deposits, development of electromagnetic and shallow seismic prospecting technology, promotion of new alternative resources, and providing theoretical guidance and technical support that leads to security of natural resources throughout the nation.
