Land and sea joint seismic exploration in Bohai SeaThe second land and sea joint seismic exploration in Bohai Sea was carried out during August 3-20, 2011. This project is organized by Institute of Geology and Geophysics, CAS, State Oceanic Administration and China National Offshore Oil Corporation since 2010. The project aims at understanding the deep crustal structure of Bohai Sea and the structure's response to Destructionof theNorth ChinaCraton. The project also researches on the integration of the joint test key technologies. The detection length of submarine profile is 209.4 kilometers and the length of land profile is 210 kilometers. 20 ocean bottom seismographs (OBS) independently developed by Institute of Geology and Geophysics, CAS and 20 OBS made by German GEOpro company were put in the probe. The test marks the technology of domestic OBS equipment has become mature. fig.1 The test line diagram.
