Persons of the year 2010 of Scientific Chinese are announcedin Beijing on June 10, 2011. Professor LIU Guangding is honoured Lifetime Achievement Award.

The award is selected by the magazine of Scientific Chinese.

Academician LIU Guangding is known as the Father of Marine Geology of China. He long-term directs the research of the China Sea geological and geophysical survey and completes the research of the China Sea geological structures and hydrocarbon potential.
