On the opening ceremony of "the Academic Annual meeting of the Geological Society of China",The 11th Youth Geological Science and Thechnology Award Ceremony was held,on which 10 people won "Golden Hammer Award" and 40 people won "Silver Hammer Award".

Dr. Qi Shengwen from our institute won the Golden Hammer Award,and he said this was an important honor to him,and the program he is focusing on is a hot topic in his research area,and he would take it as a new start to get further achievements.

The two awards were set up in 1989 to reward the young scientists for their outstanding work in geology area. So far there were totally 426 people won the prizes.
