Earth's Deep Structure and Process
---Seismology Main interest of seismology in our institute is seismological basic research related with seismic wave propagation, seismic forward modeling, seismic imaging of complex structures and inversion. We can use the quantitative method to carry out research that earthquake's focal mechanism, source rupture process, mantle-crust movement and tectonic deformation through the observation data of China digital seismograph network (CDSN), GPS, lnsar. Our group’s research strength is that the law of seismic wave propagation in complex media, earthquake's focal mechanism and source rupture process. We use the seismic data to explore the earth’s deep structure, mantle-crust movement and tectonic deformation ‘s quantitative analysis, seismic forward modeling, the theory and method of complex structure imaging, generalized non-linear elastic inversion, seismic layout designing method, the mechanism of the seismic response of the static stress change.
