Electromagnetic Imaging Theory and Techniques
Research Interests
· Research and Development of EM Instruments

The 12-channel distributed data acquisition station for artificial source and nature source EM method was developed for deep mineral resources exploration. The key techniques of wideband weak signal detection, high precision clock synchronization, calibration for channels and magnetic coil, compensation of frequency response characteristic were resolved. Integration of overall system and testing with similar foreign equipment was carried out. The results show that the data is stable and reliable, the system have the ability to exploration in the field for CSAMT and MT .

· Logging While Drilling

Formation evaluation for horizontal wells of oil and gas reservoirs require more extensive information, three-dimensional imaging and interface detection. Meanwhile, it is difficult to provide accurate geosteering information for conventional MWD and LWD due to the measurement point away from the bit. For this reason, the research and development of imaging logging tool used azimuth electromagnetic resistivity and geosteering tool at bit was carried out. it will improve core-competitiveness, capability of technology innovation and sustainable development.
