---Electromagnetic Imaging Theory and Techniques Based on the need for new methods and key equipment development in deep resource exploration area, researches related to theoretical improvement, technical development and exploration breakthrough are conducted by this group. A lot of researches about controlled source electromagnetic methods such as controlled source audio frequency magnetotellurics have been performed here, and the propagation characteristics of electromagnetic wave in “Ionosphere-Atmosphere-Lithosphere” were established. We focus on the research of electromagnetic equipment, the high performance magnetic sensors and the Surface Electromagnetic Prospecting (SEP) system have been developed. These achievements have not only significantly increased the sounding depth of controlled source EM method, but also ensure high precision in deep exploration with less time and low cost.
