Cenozoic Geology and Environment
---Paleoecology Paleoecology is one of the most important groups in the lab of Cenozoic Geology and Environment. Our group consists of four research interests as follows: pollen, phytoliths, mollusks, and diatoms. In recent few years, we have mainly concentrated on late Quaternary climate changes and vegetation variations, Neolithic agricultural origins and environmental changes, Quaternary diversity of land snails and climate changes, and Holocene diversity of diatoms and climate changes in typical lakes of Northern China. These results have been published on many top-tier academic journals, such as Nature, PNAS, QSR, EPSL, Geology, and Holocene. The associated conclusions have been included in the professional instructions of undergraduate and graduate by many universities. We have contacted closely with many experts from Harvard University, Louisiana State University, and Centre national de la recherche scientifique.
