The focus of this laboratory is catering to the vital national demand for petroleum resources. The laboratory engages in basic, strategic and perspective innovation research, striving to produce theories and key technologies which will accelerate the national oil-gas exploration process. The laboratory is devoted to creating a platform for oil-gas-bearing basin formation and evolution, hydrocarbon generation, reservoir accumulation processes and key technology, as well as equipment development for research in oil-gas exploration.
