Gennadii Bagliuk, deputy director of Institute for Problems of Materials Science (IPMS), National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, and Yuriy Chuvashov, director of basalt fiber materials visited the Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IGGCAS) in early March, as invited by academician Jiaqi Liu.  

During their visit, they visited the relevant laboratories at the IGGCAS and participated in in-depth talks on the development of basalt fiber materials with IGGCAS staff. Based on previous cooperation, both sides reached a consensus to continue to strengthen cooperation and exchanges, improve the establishment of a basalt fiber materials laboratory, and to further promote the development of basalt fiber materials in China.
