A Workshop on Earthtime-CN was held on Dec.15-16, 2013 in the Institute of Geology and Geophysics, CAS.

Two main topics were addressed ：1）How to improve the performance of the Geochronology Laboratory (e.g. pipette experiment and standard) 2）How to start collaboration between Mass-spectroscopy companies and the Laboratories.

In recent years, Chinese laboratories bought a large number of mass-spectroscopy equipment, but local engineers and users haven't been well trained enough. Moreover, the leadership of the Institute is in support of the need to get more involved to develop better mass-spectroscopy equipment.

Geochronologists, students, experts from NSF-CN (Dr. Yupeng Yao and Dr.Yu Liu), an expert from NSF-USA (Dr. Richard Lane) and people from mass-spectroscopy companies attended the workshop. And it led to a successful outcome based on the robust contributions from all participants;
