Invited by Professor LIU Hong,Dr. ZHANG Yu,a famous geophysist from CGGVeritas, visited IGG and presented a lecture entitled "reverse time migration" on May 5,2009.He introduced the development history and technical contribution of the CGGVeritas,and made lively discussions with staff and graduate students.

Dr. ZHANG Yu graduated from Beijing University in 1991 and now is serving the CGGVeritas as Vice President of Research.Having carried out a long-term research in developing new techniques in high quality prestack depth imaging and migration anti-aliasing and true amplitude migration ,He won many awards for his outstanding work.
