According to the announcement from the Ye Duzheng Global Change Sciences Award Foundation,Prof. Guo Zhengtang won the Global Change Sciences Award for 2008. Donated by Mr. Ye Duzheng, this award is given out biennially to the middle-aged Chinese scientists for their outstanding achievements in global change sciences area.This was the first prize-giving,and Prof.Guo shared his bonus with another scientist, Prof. Tian hanqin from Auburn University of US.
