The Third International Workshop on Computational Inverse Problems and Applications, organized by Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences , East China Institute of Technology (ECIT), State Key Laboratory Breeding Base of Nuclear Resources and Environment and Fundamental Science on Radioactive Geology and Exploration Technology Laboratory was held on July 8-12, 2013 in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, China.

This conference covered issues on Numerical Algorithms for Large Scale Ill-posed Problems, Regularization Methods for Inverse Problems, High-performance Optimizations and Applications in Related Fields. It created a stage for exchanging the advanced research methods and sharing the latest research results. This conference was a project of international cooperation between Russia and China.
