Education and Appointments:

Le Wang, Ph.D. in geology, born in 1990, Qishan County, Shaanxi Province.
Associate professor of the institute of Geology and Geophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
His main academic achievements include: (1) Proposing a classification scheme for intermediate sulfidation epithermal deposits (NC-type and E-type) based on tectonic backgrounds; (2) Identifying the influencing factors that affect the intensity of short-wave infrared spectrum absorption peaks for illite; (3) Unveiling that the propylitic fluids in intermediate sulfidation epithermal deposits can involve >50% magmatic water. He is hosting the National Natural Science Foundation and postdoctoral science funding projects, and serving as a peer reviewer for Geology, Mineralium Deposita, and Ore Geology Reviews.
