Research Interests
· Architecture, timing and tectonic evolution of collisional orogens

Systematically investigating on the temporal-spatial characteristics of the accretionary complexes and foreland basin systems, defining their formation and emplacement ages. Analyzing the structural styles of various terranes, isotopic features of arc terranes, and their geodynamic background comparatively studying on the evolutionary history and mechanism of the Tethyan Orogenic Belt and other orogens in the world, developing continental growth theory.

· Tectonic evolution of accretionary orogens and their metallogeny

Studying on the orogneic processes of accretionary orogens and their metallogeny with emphasis on the Central Asian Orogenic Belt and Tethyan Orogenic Belt, building coupling relationships between the massive metallogenic events and the significant geological events. Analyzing the metallogenic mechanism of crust-mantle interaction, developing continental geodynamics and its metallogeny theory of the Central Asian and Tethyan Metallogenic Domains.
